The countdown is over! The red and white checkered Moon Rocket, an iconic symbol of Tintin's Moon adventures, is captured as it launches. Tintin's creator, the Belgian cartoonist Hergé, was intensely curious about science and space, and his Destination Moon series is a favourite.
