Designed by Women
March 8th, International Women's Day, is the date that women around the world are celebrated for their contributions to everything from business and politics to culture and the arts. As a woman-owned business, Bergo Designs is always enthusiastic to support women designers. In honour of International Women's Day we'd like to shine a light on the some of the leading ladies whose creations for Alessi and Georg Jensen have enhanced their iconic collections.
Born in the US and living and working in London, Jacqueline Rabun brings her elegant aesthetic to her collaborations with Georg Jensen. Her exceptional work elevates the craft of jewellery making to art. One of the most admired contemporary jewellers, Rabun’s designs are informed by her passion for organic and architectural forms. Her newest collection for Georg Jensen is the Reflect Collection, a fresh take on the classic chain design. Each piece of Rabun’s work is wearable art that reflects the personality of the wearer.

HELLE DAMKJÆR FOR GEORG JENSEN
“I intend to create pieces that emanate calm and peaceful energy into their surroundings.” Helle Damkjær is a multi-faceted designer whose work in different mediums shows the power of shapes and their harmonious presence. Not just a ceramicist, this award-winning Danish designer creates pieces for Georg Jensen that transform cold stainless steel into warm organic forms. Her Bloom and Bloom Botanica collections are beautiful examples of her approach to translating silhouettes found in nature into design objects for your home.
