Mondaine Swiss Railways Clock

In 1944, Hans Hilfiker, a Swiss engineer, designer, and employee of the Federal Swiss Railways, created the clock which has become known as the Official Swiss Railways Clock. With it's simple to read face and distinctive red second hand shaped like the baton used by railway workers, this clock has become a modern design icon. It's included among examples of outstanding 20th-century design by both the Design Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
