From a series based on seasonal themes created for the covers of Liberty Magazine in the 1920s, this design was created for the March issue. Wright's lifelong interest in geometric shapes, particularly the circle, is the basis for this design inspired by bunches of balloons. Thought of as too radical at the time, the abstract images of this collection were never published but became an important part of Wright's graphic work.
