Registry FAQ's

HOW DO I CREATE A REGISTRY?

You can create a registry either in our store or on-line. If you choose to visit our store, please call or email us to set up an appointment during store hours (416-861-1821 or info@bergo.ca). We will have a member of our knowledgeable sales staff dedicated to assist you in making your list. If you prefer, you may create your registry directly on our web site. To do so, you must first set up a customer account on the home page. Please note that some items are available on-line only. We are always receiving new products, so please feel free to add additional items to your registry.

WHERE IS BERGO DESIGNS LOCATED?

We are located in the Historic Distillery District in Toronto. This is a pedestrian district, however ample paid parking is available in lots around the Distillery. We will reimburse you for your parking when you come for your first visit to set up your registry.

IF I CREATE A REGISTRY ON-LINE WITHOUT COMING TO THE STORE WILL I BE ABLE TO CONSULT WITH YOUR STAFF?

Yes, of course! Someone from our staff will contact you by email once you have a registry account. You will then be able to set up a phone call if you choose.

WHAT ARE THE SPECIAL TERMS FOR THE GIFT REGISTRY?

Please note that by registering with our gift registry you are agreeing to our terms, which include no refunds, exchanges, or credit notes for any items listed as special orders on our website. These are items that will only be ordered with direct consent and request by the registrant.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY REGISTRY MYSELF?

Yes, you are in charge! If you have any changes to make on your registry, simply sign in to your account and go to “Manage”.

HOW DO SPECIAL ORDERS WORK?

There some items on our website that are non-stock items in our store and are specified as special order only on our website. These items will be confirmed in writing with the registrant before we place the special order. These items are final sale and therefore cannot be returned for exchange or store credit. 

HOW DO I ORDER FROM A REGISTRY?

To purchase a gift, go to “FIND” to search for the registrant’s name and locate their registry. You will see a list of items the couple has requested. Click the “ADD TO CART” button to purchase gifts. Then choose your shipping option. 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT WRAPPING? CAN OUR GUESTS ADD A MESSAGE?

Any gift ordered from your registry will automatically be wrapped at no additional charge. To avoid a $5 charge, do not click the gift wrap option at checkout. You may also send a message to the recipients by adding it to the “Additional Comments” box at check out.

IF THERE IS SOMETHING IN YOUR STORE BUT NOT ON YOUR WEBSITE, CAN I ADD IT TO MY ON-LINE REGISTRY?

Yes! As we have an extensive collection of products in our store, we are not be able to feature everything on our website. Although we are always updating the site to add new merchandise, if there is an in-store item that is not on the website which you would like to add to your registry, just contact us at info@bergo.ca using the subject line “Registry” and we will be pleased to add it to your registry. In addition, if there are items you are interested in from any of the companies we carry that are not in our store or on our website, we would be happy to inquire about special ordering that item for you. Please note that all special orders are final sale.

IF AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK, CAN I ADD IT TO MY REGISTRY?

Yes! Our inventory is always changing, but we will do our best to make sure your family and friends can purchase all of the items you request. If an item is discontinued, we will advise you and remove it from your registry.

CAN I GET MY GIFTS RIGHT AWAY?

Items that are available in the store can be delivered or picked up right away. However, we do have some online only items. These are special orders and are considered final sale. Once purchased, as the registrant, you may choose to put through the order right away allowing 2-3 weeks for delivery, finalizing the sale. You can also opt to wait and put through the special order at your request, again allowing 2-3 weeks for delivery. We will inform you as to the status of your order.

WILL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY BE CHARGED FOR SHIPPING?

Orders over $100 (excluding taxes) are eligible for free shipping within Canada. There are some exceptions, due to size and weight, and you will be advised of that A shipping charge at our regular rate applies to orders under $100.

IS IN-STORE PICK UP AVAILABLE? 

If you would prefer to pick up your gifts at our store, that option is available to you or your guests. Please inform your guests if this is your preference.

HOW DOES IN-STORE PICK UP WORK?

When you make a purchase from the registry, choose the option “In-store pick-up” on the shipping page. You will be asked for a shipping address; that will be our store address. There will be no shipping charge for your order. Please advise us in the “Additional Comments” box if you would like to pick up the item yourself or if you would like us to contact the recipient to advise them that a gift from you is at the store for pick-up. Please note that we do not have a large amount of space for storing items. Any gifts not picked up within one week will be shipped at our expense to the registrants address on file. Your gifts can be picked up at our store at 28 Tank House Lane in the Distillery District in Toronto during regular business hours.

IS THERE SOMEONE AVAILABLE IN THE STORE TO HELP OR ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING MY REGISTRY?

Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and make this an easy process for you and your guests. We will provide you with contact information when you sign up for a registry and a dedicated salesperson will be made available to assist you during store hours. Any inquiries made outside of store hours will be addressed promptly the next day.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Our return policy for the registry is the same as our general return policy. We will issue a store credit for returned merchandise that you may use in our store or on-line. The credit will not expire. For complete information on returns, please review our “Terms of Service” on the checkout page of our website. We cannot offer refunds for special order items. 

WHAT IF GIFTS THAT ARE SHIPPED ARRIVE DAMAGED?

Please contact us by email immediately, attaching a picture of the packaging and damaged item(s) so that we can address the problem. 

CAN I OPT TO TAKE STORE CREDIT INSTEAD OF MERCHANDISE?

Absolutely! Just advise us that you do not wish to take the merchandise and we will add that amount to a store credit that can be used at any time for any items. This does not apply to special order items where orders have been confirmed and ordered by the registrant. 

HOW CAN MY GUESTS PURCHASE A GIFT CARD?

Gift cards are available to purchase in any amount in the store. You will receive a physical gift card which can only be used in the store. We also offer gift cards (both physical gift cards and on-line gift cards) on our website which are purchased in specific denominations. The on-line gift cards can only be used for purchasing on our website. 

CAN I REGISTER FOR AN EVENT OTHER THAN A WEDDING? CAN I CREATE A WISH LIST?

Yes, you may! On our website go to “Gift Registry” and then click to “Create a Registry”. Under “Registry Profile” please add the name of your event in the “Registry Title” box. You may share that information with your friends and family. You can create a Wish List, which can be shared by email or social media.

HOW LONG WILL MY REGISTRY REMAIN ACTIVE AFTER MY EVENT?

Your registry will be active and searchable for one year after your wedding or event.
